Tea Recipe: Cheese Tea Topping
There's a new craze that hit the social media recently, and it had hit the tea industry as well. At first glance, any aficionado would be taken aback, myself included, but then my sense of adventure kicked in.
I tried the cheese tea.
And it actually wasn’t that horrible, kinda like a tea-infused cheesecake. A little too sweet for my tastes (in all fairness, I don’t have a sweet tooth at all…), but really flavourful and actually complimentary to the flavour of the tea!
Inspired (and not wanting to wait in a 45-minute line again), I set out to make it on my own. Turned out pretty good!
Here’s my recipe:
How to Make Cheese Tea Topping | Tea Recipe
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup condensed milk
- ¼ cup cream cheese, softened to room temp (makes it easier to mix)
- 2 tbsp confectioner’s sugar
- ½ tsp salt
Procedure
In a stand mixer mixing bowl, add your condensed milk, heavy cream, cream cheese, salt, and sugar, mix with a stand mixer until soft peaks form. Pour on top of your favourite tea (I’d recommend a Matcha Tea Latte Mix or a cold-brewed Peachy Oolong tea).
Enjoy!
