Why Tavalon?

Tavalon's mission is to create the best tea blends the world has ever known and deliver the luxurious experience of tea drinking to suit the Australian palate.

For too long, tea has played a minimal role in Australia, overshadowed by the seemingly ubiquitous coffee bean empire, our goal is to drive tea back into the beverage spotlight by presenting a fresh, new and exclusive tea offering. In order to achieve our goals, our in-house Tea Sommelier, Chris Cason, picks and blends premium loose leaf teas from all over the world and expertly blends them to create the most exclusive tea blends available, placing Tavalon in a league of our own.

With already established worldwide brands and outlets supplying Tavalon there is little room for anything but progress. However, we cannot reach our goals by only supplying the best premium teas to the world, we also have to educate our consumers about what makes it the best. Since many people are unaware of the benefits of tea drinking, in order to be successful we must impart our expertise on the many different aspects of tea, from the health benefits of tea, to tea history, to the pure art of enjoyment that tea provides. It is through the cultivation of well-educated tea drinkers that we aim to create a new, stronger tea tradition worldwide.

 

Where does Tavalon source its tea?

Our tea leaves are sourced from prestigious tea creating countries around the world, including India, Sri Lanka, China, Japan, Korea and Kenya. These countries have a generally extraordinary air for creating tea close by a long and respected history of building up the tea plant

In separate, tea creation in Australia is troublesome because of our, as it were, hot, dry climate, nonappearance of productive height and poor soils for tea creating.

In Australia, tea creating is an almost young undertaking with a little however creating extent of teas that we might want to highlight in our social event later on.

 

Do Tavalon teas contain caffeine?

Black, Green, Oolong and White Tea all contain different levels of naturally occurring caffeine.  Our herbal teas are naturally and completely caffeine free.

 

How should I store my Tavalon teas?

To ensure your Tavalon tea continues to taste as fresh and refreshing as the first sip, we recommend storing tea in a secure, air-tight tin, or glass jar where it is out of direct sunlight, heat or water elements.

 

Does tea expire? Is it safe to drink tea after it’s expired?

Most of our teas have an expiry date that can be found on the base of the pack, stating the best before date. To ensure you make the most of your Tavalon tea, we recommend consuming it before the best-before date so you can fully experience the wonderful premium flavours of Tavalon tea.

 

How long will my order take to arrive? And what's the cost of shipping?

Your order will be dispatched within 1-2 business days from confirmation of payment. If there are any exceptional reasons which cause us to delay dispatching your order we will let you know as soon as practicable.

Deliveries will be made Monday to Friday only, not including public holidays. Please note that in rural and remote areas of Australia, delivery times may be subject to carriers delivery schedule in the area. 

Shipping is Australia wide with a flat rate fee of $10.

 

I purchased a tea online and I don’t like the flavour. Can I return it?

Yes! We would like you to be 100% happy with your purchase so we offer a 30 days return policy from the time you receive your order! Unfortunately we do not accept returns on any opened/used items.

Please email support@tavalon.com.au or call 02 9114 6000 within 30 days of your products arriving so we can resolve any problems you might have with our products.

You will be refunded the cost of the product minus the shipping in the original form of payment. We recommend that you return your products using prepaid registered post and insure all items, as you assume all associated risks whilst the items are in transit. If you decide not to get insurance, Tavalon Australia Pty Ltd will not take any responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen goods during transit.

It is important you include your original order number otherwise we won’t be able to identify you and you may be refused service. Meaning we won’t be able to issue you a refund.

If you ordered an incorrect item please contact us and we will be able to organise a suitable solution.

How to brew Loose Leaf Tea?

Purchasing premium loose leaf tea is the best initial step! Depending on which loose leaf tea you have purchased will depend on the brewing time, for more information see our individual package.

 

My tea doesn't taste right. What would it be advisable for me to do?

The taste and quality of Tavalon tea is of the upmost importance to us. We take every quality issue seriously and react to every single query with the consideration they deserve. If you have obtained a tea that does not taste right please contact us. Our quality control team will assist you with any query and endeavour to solve any issue presented to best suit you.

 

I’ve received a broken or damaged item/wrong item/something’s missing from my order.

Tavalon strives to provide the finest quality products, we apologize if your order does not meet your standards. In order to rectify any misgiving please contact us and a member of Tavalon will be in touch.

 

What payment types does Tavalon accept online?

Tavalon accepts all major Credit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay.
