On a hot day, how do you keep yourself cool in the oppressive heat? The right (and healthy way to do it) is this: Sweet tea.
But today’s recipe is a twist on the ordinary classic sweet tea. We turn it into a chilly treat that is both sweet and light, perfect for an after-meal nibble.
Here’s the recipe:
How to Make Sweet Tea Sorbetto | Tea Recipe
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 cups NYC Breakfast black tea, or Aussie Breakfast black tea at room temperature
- Fresh lemon juice
1. Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat and simmer, wait until the sugar is completely dissolved. Stop before the syrup changes colour.
2. Remove from the heat and let cool.
4. Chill the mixture, then put in an ice cream machine, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
